Butternut (White Walnut) Bowl - Super Spalted | 8.75" x 3.5" | Polished with Yorkshire Grit and Finished Linseed Oil / Beeswax Combination

This wood was given to me by a kind FB stranger who said it was black walnut and didn't want to see it burned.  It had been sitting for a couple of years and I was hoping it would be spalted because of this.  When I got the wood, it was spalted beyond what I normally would want and to the point where I can't even really identify the tree species.  I believe it is likely butternut (white walnut).  The "super spalting" did make for an amazing turning experience and turned into a unique bowl with a lot of character.  The spalting makes it almost look like paint was splattered all over the bowl, inside and out.
