Fresh off the Lathe, Red Cedar #1 Turned by St. Anne Wood Turner ("The Beard") - Shane Boland, Natural Edge Bowl

This Red Cedar Natural Edge Bowl is the first red cedar item the Beard has turned.  Red cedar is a soft wood so this is a decorative Bowl, not for normal use as it is not as durable as a hardwood Bowl.  Turned this week in St. Anne, IL.  Bowl dimensions are 9.4" x 8.25" x 4" tall.  Sealed with sanding sealer, polyurethane and finished with the Beall Buffing System which is a 3 step buffing process ending with a coat of carnauba wax.

The Beard's Shop now smells of cedar and he kind of likes it.
