Meet "Showtime" - Black Walnut Vase - by local artist Shane Boland

I turned this one of a kind hand made vessel this weekend in Saint Anne, IL.  It was made from a piece of stunning black walnut salvaged by some nice folks in the Mokena, IL area.  This unique piece contains the pith, so it may crack around that area as the wood finishes drying, however it was turned pretty thin so I don't expect it to move much.

This item was named after UFC and WEC veteran Anthony "Showtime" Pettis.

Sealed with sanding sealer and finished with many coats of clear gloss lacquer.
