Meet "The Last Emperor" - Locally Hand Made Sculpture with Natural Void by Saint Anne Woodturner

I turned this hollow form/vase/sculpture out of locally salvaged crab apple (flowering crab) wood from just south of St. Anne, IL on 5/13/2024.

Named after MMA legend Fedor "The Last Emperor" Emelianko, this stunning sculpture stands 10" tall x 6.25" wide.  It features a natural void which was intentionally made by turning the piece off center at a natural bend in the wood.

Truly one of a kind piece of art.  Happy to deliver locally (within Kankakee County).  Flowering Crab wood is notorious for cracking as it dries.  This piece was turned semi-green but is at low to moderate risk of developing cracks as it finishes drying.  It was sealed with sanding sealer and finished with 3 coats of lacquer.
