Extra Large Live Edge Bur Oak Bowl | Finished with Linseed Oil & Beeswax | Flawed

This Extra Large Live Edge Bur Oak Bowl is the third piece of bur oak turned from a couple of truckloads of bur oak given to the Beard by someone in the neighborhood who had a very old oak tree taken down.  The base of this tree was 5-6' in diameter.  It must have been hundreds of years old.  The Beard is very thankful to have been gifted such beautiful wood!

This extra large bowl was turned and finished wet and is expected to shift a little as it finishes drying.  It was turned fairly thin for this size bowl (3/8")  and contains no pith so it shouldn't develop large cracks, but has formed a few minor cracks which have been treated with CA glue to keep them from spreading.
