Fresh off the lathe - this large black locust bowl was salvaged by local woodturner, our very own - "The Beard" out of Saint Anne, IL this week.  The bowl was "twice turned" and the rough turned bowl had warped and cracked in the kiln so much it was barely able to be turned round again - which makes the walls relatively thin for this size of bowl.

The cracks and natural holes in the wood have been sealed with epoxy.  If the buyer wishes to use the bowl for normal use, I can fill the remaining gaps and minor cracks with more epoxy.  As it stands now, it is only for decorative purposes as not all of the cracks and natural voids have been filled.

Turned Dimensions:  10" diameter x 6" tall

Finished with linseed oil, beeswax and carnauba wax.
