Spalted Black Cherry Natural Edge Winged Bowl from the Beard's Backyard | Extra Lage | Flawed

The Beard's wife wanted a path cut through the back woods to the forest preserve and the Beard got distracted by a black cherry tree that had gotten knocked down in a storm a couple of years ago.  The spalting really makes this bowl unique.    This bowl is turned very thin and it's pretty lightweight.  In fact, it is so thin, when turning it, the Beard accidentally made a funnel.  In order to turn this flaw into a feature, the small hole was drilled out and patched with an accent black walnut circle.  Finished with linseed oil & beeswax.
